AB  - Liver transplantation is a lifesaving intervention for patients with decompensated cirrhosis, certain malignancies, and genetic disorders associated with disordered liver metabolism. This commentary will discuss the indications for liver transplantation, the evaluation of liver transplant candidates, prioritization of candidates on the waiting list, and post-transplant care.
