The North Carolina Institute of Medicine has been publishing the North Carolina Medical Journal
since January 2002. Prior to that time, the Journal was published by the North Carolina Medical Society.
We do not have a copy service or supplies of issues prior to 2002 that we can distribute.
The Health Sciences Library at the University fo North Carolina at Chapel Hill and some other libraries carry copies of all issues. There are no electronic copies
of issues before 2002.
If you are interested in ordering a back issue of a Journal issue since January 2002, please email or call to check our stock availablility.
We do not make reprints of the issues once we have distributed all of the copies. If you would like additional information about issues published since January 2002, contact
ncmedj@nciom.org.
All of our articles are indexed for Index Medicus. Index Medicus is a bibliographic
listing of references to articles from biomedical journals worldwide. The National Library of Medicine indexes literature that has been judged most useful to
Index Medicus users by a group of distinguished physicians, medical editors, and medical librarians. Bibliographic data and information individual articles plublished in the
